Transcatheter pulmonary valve replacement is a minimally invasive procedure, which involves the implantation of the first-ever catheter-based pulmonary valve, is currently performed by interventional cardiologists at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian and Columbia University Medical Center.

Primary Children's Medical Center recently performed its first transcatheter pulmonary valve replacement procedure - a first for the Intermountain region. The Melody TPV Procedure is a non-surgical alternative to open-heart surgery and is now an option for patients at Primary Children's.

Pulmonary valve replacement (PVR) in adult patients late after repair of tetralogy of Fallot leads to rapid improvement of right ventricular (RV) systolic function.
