Chelation Therapy

Sunday, April 20, 2014

Chelation therapy is the treatment applied on patients who suffer from plumb, arsenic, mercury, and other metal poisoning of the blood and body tissues. The therapy consists of intravenous injections of chelation agents, such as dimercaptosuccinic acid, dimercaprol, and dimercapto-propane sulfonate. These drugs encircle and bind to a metal in the blood stream, removing it from the tissues as they force them to be excreted through the urine.
