Richest Sources of Zinc

Zinc is a bluish white metallic element, occurring in nature as a sulfide, oxide, carbonate, etc. It is essential element in our body. It takes part in the carbohydrate and protein metabolism and is part of hormones structures. Zinc deficiency weakens the the immune system, alters the normal hormone levels, might cause skin lesion, etc. Aromatase hyperactivity is linked to zinc deficiency. The richest sources of this element as nutrient are oyster, red meat, nuts (almond, walnut, peanuts, etc), seeds, beans, and whole grains.
