Isoproterenol Hydrochloride

The isoproterenol hydrochloride is a drug indicated primarily for the symptomatic treatment and control of bronchospasm in asthma and related respiratory disorders, including bronchitis and tracheobeonchitis. Sold under the brand name of Norisodrine, the isoproterenol is a potent sympathomimetic agent, which is chemically related to epinephrine.

The use of isoproterenol is contraindicated in patients with pre-existing cardiac arrhythmias, because of the cardia stimulant effect, and hypertension.
