Suprascapular Nerve

The suprascapular nerve is a nerve located in the shoulder, coming off from the brachial plexus trunk. However, the fibers that compose the suprascapular nerve originate from the fifth and sixth cervical spinal roots. It descends down obliquely, then it turns up to innervate the infraspinatus and the supraspinatus muscles as it gives off colateral branches that supply the scapula and shoulder joint.
